The Europa Santander Scholarships program at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria has made public the list of the 50 students selected in its 19th edition, to which more than 4,000 students have applied, all with an average grade of 9.8 in Baccalaureate.

So far, 1,000 have already received scholarships from this program, which has the support of Banco Santander.

Those selected in this 19th edition come from 14 autonomous communities. In detail, 25 students are from Madrid, four from Andalusia, four from Navarra, three from Castilla y León, two from Aragon, two from the Valencian Community, two from Extremadura, two from Catalonia, one from Asturias, one from Galicia, one from the Canary Islands, one from La Rioja, one from the Basque Country, and one from Castilla La Mancha.

The final selection with the last 200 candidates took place last February at the Francisco de Vitoria University. The reward of this program is to visit the most emblematic universities on the European continent for 20 days. Specifically, students will visit between June 30 and July 18, 2024, the universities of Alcalá de Henares, Bologna, Cambridge, London, Santiago de Compostela, Brussels and Aachen.

The purpose of the Europe Scholarships Santander Bank and the Francisco de Vitoria University is to create a network of leading university students in Europe, promote knowledge and respect for the European Union, and the early integration of students into the university world.

The scholarship recipients Santander Bank and the UFV will have the opportunity to attend meetings with leading professionals in their field, attend conferences, and carry out recreational and training activities with authorities from the political, academic, and research fields. As an example, they will be received by the Kings of Spain.

The selected young people, who are between 16 and 18 years old, are offered the opportunity to be part of the University Leadership School (ELU), which is another initiative of Santander Bank and the UFV.

This School is a four-year training program, which is carried out at the same time as each student’s Degree, and aims to train in leadership and reinforce each of their talents and abilities. Likewise, the last 200 candidates of the Program, who have been close to obtaining one of the Europa Scholarships, are offered the opportunity to be part of the ELU.
