Discussions on energy cooperation between Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan were held in Tashkent.

Day.Az reported this on Wednesday with reference to information from the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikail Jabbarov on the social network X.

“My colleague, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, and I took part in a trilateral meeting of the ministers of economy and energy of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as part of a working visit to Uzbekistan. Our discussions were focused on studying the prospects for exporting electricity from Central Asian countries to Europe through the territory of Azerbaijan,” – said the head of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan.

According to him, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of the issues outlined in the previously signed “Joint Communiqué between the heads of the relevant ministries of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.”

“We discussed the coordination of the development of energy systems in the countries of the region, as well as the intensification of joint activities on green energy projects,” noted Mikail Jabbarov.
