Disney Accelerator 2025: Demo Day Details

Disney Accelerator Unveils Next Wave of Immersive Tech Collaborations

Disney’s commitment to innovation took center stage today as the company showcased the latest cohort of its Disney Accelerator program, highlighting groundbreaking collaborations in immersive experiences and storytelling. The 2025 Demo Day, held at the Walt Disney Studios lot, featured four growth-stage companies – Animaj, DramaBox, Haddy, and LIMINAL Space – poised to reshape entertainment through cutting-edge technology.

The Disney Accelerator, now in its 11th year, serves as a crucial bridge between emerging companies and the vast resources of The Walt Disney Company. “Walt Disney always embraced the latest technologies to propel new ways of storytelling,” stated Bonnie Rosen, General Manager of the Disney Accelerator, “and the company thrived by regularly working hand-in-hand with others who shared a vision of creating a brighter tomorrow.”

AI-Powered Storytelling with Animaj

Animaj, a next-generation media company, is leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate production workflows for digital-first global franchises aimed at captivating young audiences. The company’s approach empowers artists while maintaining creative control over storytelling and quality. Animaj is currently exploring co-development opportunities with Disney Branded Television and Disney Television Studios to create a new series of shorts for distribution across multiple platforms.

Microdramas and Musical Adaptations with DramaBox

DramaBox, a leader in vertical, short-form entertainment, is pioneering new content models through its microdrama format. The company is in discussions with Disney Publishing to adapt young adult fantasy novels into original microdramas for Disney’s media platforms. Further expanding its reach, DramaBox and Disney Music are investigating the dramatic adaptation of existing music albums into engaging vertical video shorts.

3D Printing Innovation with Haddy

Haddy, an AI-powered industrial 3D-printing factory, demonstrated how its technology can rapidly transform spaces for theme park attractions, resorts, and film/television production. Haddy’s fabrication process allows for the creation of durable, custom pieces quickly, affordably, and at scale, while also prioritizing environmental sustainability through waste reduction and resource efficiency. A collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development is underway to explore the creation of props and set pieces for Disney Parks.

Holographic Experiences with LIMINAL Space

Perhaps the most visually striking demonstration came from LIMINAL Space, a developer of groundbreaking holographic 3D LED displays. The company showcased its “Ghost Tile” and “Spirit Tile” technologies, which can transform any environment into an immersive experience using lightweight polarized glasses. A live demo, in collaboration with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), brought Marvel Studios’ Rocket Racoon to life through a combination of markerless mocap technology and LIMINAL Space’s spatial LED displays, allowing the character to interact with guests in real-time. LIMINAL Space is also exploring applications with Walt Disney Imagineering Research & Development and Disney Experiences to enhance existing attractions and create new ones.

The Disney Accelerator has, since its inception, fostered collaborations with over 60 global companies, including Epic Games, Eleven Labs, Kahoot!, and Attentive. This ongoing commitment to innovation underscores Disney’s dedication to shaping the future of entertainment and delighting audiences worldwide.
