“Disrespected, undervalued. We are working every day to do our best”, said the delivery man, Igor Brum, 21 years old, who accuses a customer of having attacked him, on Saturday night (04).

“Dealing with people like that is complicated, because we put up with a lot with our mouths shut, but that was the last straw. Rain or shine, we are there to bring food”, he laments.

He says he was assaulted after sounding the horn twice in front of the client’s house, who lives in Jardim Paulista. Faced with the episode, Igor vented in the WhatsApp group, and the category got together and honked at the resident’s house, even throwing firecrackers and stones.

“There was no warning not to honk at his house. I honked once, I waited more than 1 minute, it didn’t show up, I honked the second time. He said: You are used to honking your horn at other people’s houses and not getting off your motorcycle to do your work. I said: my job is to bring the order, I have no obligation to get off the bike”, detailed Igor. He further said that the customer questioned the reason for not having played the intercom.

Still in his version, during the discussion, the owner of the house wanted to get the product before passing the code and opened the bag by force to take the order. “He wanted, first, the product and then give the code. I said I was going to return it to the establishment, when I was going to get on the bike and he pulled me by the bag handle, I fell, and he kicked the bag. He opened the backpack and took the product. I hit my back on the floor the moment he pulled me out,” he said.

The customer also filed a police report and said there were about 100 motorcyclists at the scene. According to the record, they threw stones, breaking the intercom and hitting the windshield of the vehicle that was in the garage of the residence.

The resident reported to the police that he was threatened by the delivery man, who would have told him that he wrote down the license plates of the family members’ vehicles, passing them on to the other professionals in the class.

Igor also refutes the threat accusation made by the resident. “He is accusing me of threatening, firstly, his lift gate was closed, he had opened the small gate. I didn’t see any license plates because the gate was closed. He’s accusing me of things that didn’t happen at the time,” he explains.

The case was registered by the client, at Depac (Community Emergency Service Police Station) Cepol, as a threat, damage and factual disputes. Igor said that on the night of the event he was unable to do the BO and that he will register in the next few days.
