Paris: Serbian star Novak Djokovic has regained the top spot in the ATP tennis men’s singles rankings. Djokovic was denied a US visa because he did not submit a certificate of vaccination against Corona. Due to this, he has continued to have problems in participating in the competitions held there and has also faced setbacks in the rankings. Youngster Carlos Algarez (Spain), who overtook Djokovic to become the No. 1, dropped to No. 2 after losing in the Miami Open semi-finals.
Djokovic (7,160 points) moves up one place to regain the top spot. Algaras (6,780), Tsitsipas (Greece, 5,770), Medvedev (Russia, 5,150) and Casper Ruud (Norway, 5,005) are in the top 5. Spanish star Rafael Nadal (2,715) dropped to 14th place.
