Armenia has no intention to leave the CSTO, CP MP Gevorg Papoyan announced this during the NA briefings.
“Armenia has never refused the CSTO to send a mission to Armenia, but Armenia has asked a clear question: where will this contingent come to carry out its mission, because when the Europeans come, they say that “we have such a map , where this hill belongs to Armenia, this forest ridge, for example, belongs to Azerbaijan.” They say: “We will come, stop by the hill and let’s observe”, but when we ask the CSTO partners where they will come and stop, they don’t say,” Papoyan said.
According to him, Armenia demands from the CSTO a position that coincides with the national and state interests of Armenia.
“We need to have a clear position from our partners regarding our territorial integrity, regarding our borders, in that case we don’t have any problems with any partner,” emphasized Gevorg Papoyan.
He raised a question: do the CSTO partners accept that the Jermuk mountains are Armenia or not?
“If they accept, then when the Jermuk mountains were occupied by Azerbaijan, why didn’t CSTO intervene, if it didn’t intervene, does it mean that they don’t accept?” We need clear positions,” said the CP member.
