A 44-year-old doctor was arrested at home in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, west of Rio, this Saturday (25), for rape, aggression and psychological violence against his partner.
According to the Civil Police, the suspect committed sexual violence after administering anxiolytic in excessive dosage, removing the victim’s resistance capacity.
He is also investigated for assaulting and causing serious emotional damage to the woman, according to the investigation conducted by the Deam (Women’s Police Station) of Jacarepaguá.
The police revealed that the doctor already had five notes for crimes of the same nature. He had preventive detention (without term) decreed by Justice.
The doctor acts as a clinician and pediatrician and has an active record at Cremerj (Rio Regional Medical Council).
