Puebla, February 13, 2026 — Jorge Octavio Arroyo Martínez, widely known as Mr. Doctor, revealed today that he was defrauded of 600,000 pesos in his hometown of Puebla. “Chatter Hunter” Becomes the Hunted: A Loss of Over Half a Million Pesos
Mr. Doctor, known for exposing deceptive practices, found himself on the receiving end of a sophisticated con.
- Mr. Doctor was scammed out of 600,000 pesos by an individual in puebla.
- The scam involved a false investment possibility.
- The perpetrator is allegedly responsible for defrauding others of a total of 10 million pesos.
- Mr. Doctor has publicly vowed to pursue legal action.
Despite identifying himself as a “chatter hunter,” Arroyo Martínez admitted he was deceived into handing over the substantial sum to a person he has not publicly named. He indicated, though, that he is aware of other individuals who have also been victimized by the same perpetrator, with the total amount stolen estimated at 10 million pesos.
“I just found out that they scammed me out of more than half a million pesos. A person whose name I can’t say but who lives here in Puebla has scammed dozens of people out of millions of pesos and I was one of his victims,” Mr. Doctor stated in a video shared on his social media channels. This revelation underscores the growing prevalence of financial fraud and the challenges in identifying and prosecuting perpetrators.
Arroyo Martínez explained that the scheme centers around offering victims a seemingly lucrative capital investment for a business venture, only for the perpetrator to vanish without a trace. “They are people who have a way of working as well as Marilyn Cote, Rosa Barranco, as well as false gynecologists, like charlatans who deceive and have glibness, it is vrey easy for them to fall… today it was my turn to be the victim of this,” he said.
“You are not going to get away with this,” he stressed, “I hold this individual with the initial Y, with strange names, who practices Santeria, responsible, that if something happens to me or my family, it is because of this person who stole more than half a million pesos from me,” he stated.
