The Dohuk football team seeks to achieve victory when it faces its Emirati counterpart, Al-Nassr, at eight o’clock in the evening today, Tuesday, for the third round of the Gulf Champions League for clubs.
Al-Nasr tops the standings of the first group with (6) points, while Dohuk occupies the runner-up position with (4) points, and Dhofar of Oman comes third with one point, while Ahli Sanaa of Yemen is at the bottom of the list with no score.
The match will be led by the Qatari refereeing team, consisting of Salman Al-Falahi (arbiter), assisted by Ramzan Al-Nuaimi (first assistant) and Majid Al-Shammari (second assistant), and from Bahrain, Muhammad Khaled (fourth referee), in addition to Muhammad Ahmed (var referee) and Zahi Sunaid Al-Shammari. Northern Yellow was able to score (4) points from its previous two matches, as it began its journey by defeating Al-Ahly Sanaa with a clean double scored by Zulfiqar Younis and the Lebanese Karim Darwish, while it returned with a valuable point from Omani territory when it tied against Dhofar with a goal for the same.
On the other hand, the Emirati team aspires to continue its successes in the competition, after defeating Dhofar by five to two goals, then beating Al-Ahly Sanaa by three goals to one.
