The conversations between “stage mates”, the meeting with the experts in the foyer, the wait for the artists at the exit of the dressing rooms, the chatter about the audience’s outfit: going to see the opera at the theater is also this. And it is precisely from the desire to recreate this sociality that “Citofonare Gaetano” was born, the digital format of the Donizetti Opera festival in Bergamo (the composer’s birthplace) dedicated to the public who want to relive the atmosphere of live entertainment. Hosts are Diego Passoni (known face of the small screen as well as radio voice for Radio Deejay), Cristina Bugatty (actress and television personality, special correspondent behind the scenes and in the audience) and Alberto Mattioli, journalist, writer and enthusiast opera that will tell curiosities and events related to the performances on stage.
Saturday 26 November from 7.45 pm the living room will open its doors to comment on “L’aio nell’imbarazzo”, a work by Donizetti which narrates in an amusing way the story of a father terrified of sex so much that he wants to keep his children locked up at home until they are forty ‘years. In the show, signed by the director and artistic director of the Donizetti Opera festival Francesco Micheli, we are in the future, between quarantines, social networks and the digital world, reflecting on the generational contrast and on the fundamental role of parents and teachers.
To intertwine moments live of the work and these reflections a series of guests such as Sarah Malnerich and Francesca Fiore of the satirical blog Mammedimerda, the science popularizer Nicola Macchione, the psychotherapist Alberto Pellai, the “lyrical facilitator” Marco Mazzoleni.
