Recently, Sunaina says that she has been looking for opportunities to act in stories that focus on female characters.

Also, he has mentioned in a recent interview that if he doesn’t like the script of a film, he avoids acting in it.

Even after 17 years of her debut in the Tamil film industry, Sunaina is one of the very few who is still acting as a heroine. Currently, he says that he is eagerly waiting for the release of ‘Lathi’ opposite Vishal.

“I am an emotional actress. Before agreeing to act in a film, I always listen to the story and screenplay. If the screenplay is not good then I will skip that opportunity for Nasoo.

“It’s no use just being good at my character in a story. If all the characters are set up properly, the character I accept will touch the hearts of the audience.

“Otherwise the film will not succeed. My character will also not speak. There is no room for compromise in this matter,” says Sunaina.

Stating that her status has increased after her role in ‘Chilluk Karupatti’, she says that she has now earned a reputation as a director’s actress.

“The best characters are born from the imagination of directors. After writing the story, he decided that Sunaina would be right to cancel this kathapathi.

“I see it as a huge recognition when they believe in us and give us a chance. Earlier, when director Halita Shamim described the role of Amudini in ‘Chilluk Karupatti’, I hesitated to act.

“I am not yet married and not a mother of a child. Would it be right to ask me to act as a mother of three? I asked that. He said, ‘You are the best actress. You can do it’ he encouraged. It was his words that turned me into Amuthini,” says Sunaina.

Unlike other heroines, Sunaina doesn’t spend much time on social media. He says he doesn’t need the fake fame and publicity that comes from them.

“I have a lot of power in me. So far I have shown little of it in acting. I think I should devote my acting energy to proper Katha roles. I did not come into this field thinking that I wanted to be in the limelight by acting in all the opportunities that came my way, or that I thought it would be a profit as long as I got it.

“That’s why I don’t want to be involved in social media. The name and fame gained by it will not last. I have refused many opportunities to act in films.

“This decision is because I love cinema so much. Otherwise, I don’t really care about ODD and big screen. After the shooting is over, the producers decide whether to give it to OTT or release it in theaters.

“I don’t interfere with it. Whatever the platform, I believe success is guaranteed if there is quality,” says Sunaina.

Saying that her experience of playing the wife of a police constable in ‘Lathi’ was unforgettable, Velanthi says that she loves roles like this.

When asked to act in the same roles, he says flatly that he does not want to.
