Due to the holiday trade, the Food Safety Inspection Authority has started increased control in meat markets. The control started today from the area adjacent to the GUM market. Inspections are carried out at all meat sales points in the capital. The inspectors went around the meat sales points and asked about the origin of the meat sold, where the animal was kept, where the slaughter was carried out, etc.

Hayk Mayilyan, the chief inspector of the Yerevan Center, told reporters that as a result of the tours, they found out that there are problems with the seals, regarding the lack of the certificate of claim form 5, which, according to him, allows to identify the meat with the paper of the slaughterhouse, whether it was slaughtered in the slaughterhouse or not. .

The inspector also said that the information leaflet about pork was missing in some places.

A protocol was drawn up for the mentioned violations: the amount of the fine for the absence of an information sheet was 200-500,000 drams, and the absence of a seal was 50,000 drams.
