App State Wrestling Faces Duke in Final Competition Before New Year

App State Wrestling will conclude its pre-New Year schedule with a dual meet against Duke on Wednesday evening,offering fans a free opportunity too witness collegiate wrestling action.

The Mountaineers (2-4) are set to compete at 6 p.m. in Duke’s Cameron Indoor stadium, a change from the adjacent Card Gym. The match will also be available via live stream on ACCNX, providing broader access for fans unable to attend in person.

Despite a challenging schedule, App State has demonstrated resilience, securing victories in four of ten matches against highly ranked opponents, including No. 17 West Virginia and No.9 NC State. This success has fueled an remarkable 11-match winning streak for heavyweight Stephan Monchery, who is poised for a possibly important matchup against either No. 23 Connor Barket or another ranked Duke wrestler.
