The first joint session of the Armenian-French economic cooperation working group took place in Paris, during which issues related to bilateral cooperation were discussed.

The Armenian delegation, headed by RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, included RA Deputy Minister of High-tech Industry Robert Khachatryan.

Within the discussions of the working group, the need to organize an exchange of experience between the two countries in the field of digitization, innovation and high technologies was touched upon through seminars and bilateral visits.

At the end of the session, Robert Khachatryan had a private conversation with Clara Marshall, responsible for the foreign trade and economic attraction mission of the Department of Economic Diplomacy of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and presented in detail the “Engineering City” program, as well as the “Factory City” program, which is a continuation of the latter. The Deputy Minister referred to the possibility of ensuring the representation of French companies in the “Factory City”. Clara Marshall has shown interest in this proposal and has not ruled out such cooperation.

As a result of the meetings and discussions, an agreement was reached to continue communication in the working order in order to start and develop cooperation on the discussed topics.
