/ On Saturday, Dutch police arrested the Swedish climate activist, Greta Thonbre, during a large demonstration in The Hague.

Local police put Thonbery on a large bus with other demonstrators who tried to block a main highway leading to The Hague.

Tonbri participated with hundreds of activists in the protest, and was arrested when she joined a group of about a hundred people who tried to block the A12 motorway.

Activists demanding an end to all forms of support for the use of fossil fuels were able to close this road for several hours dozens of times over the past few months.

In previous protests, the police would transfer protesters they had arrested to another location in the city, where they would release them without further consequences. It was not possible to obtain a comment yet from the local police on Saturday.
