A shocking report revealed that 1,100 mobile phones were sold every minute on online sales platforms during the festive period.

Online shopping platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, Walmart, Meesho, Myntra have announced festive offers in the past week.

In this case, it has been reported that 60-70 lakh mobile phones have been sold on online business platforms in the last few days.

According to a report by Redseer, nearly 1,100 mobile phones are sold every minute and in the last four days (September 22-25) mobiles worth Rs 11,000 crore have been sold on major e-commerce sites alone. Interestingly, premium phones like iPhone 12, 13, OnePlus etc. are on sale for these four days only.

Similarly, in the first four days of last week, Rs 5,500 crore worth of clothing, footwear and accessories are estimated to have been sold.

Notably, 60% of Amazon Fashion’s sales come from second- and third-tier cities.

Also, the particular business site said that customers prefer TV products from Samsung, OnePlus, Mi, LG and Sony.

Meesho also surprised by getting 85% orders from tier 2, 3 and 4 cities on the first day of its sale.

From September 22-25 only, online business sites will offer Rs. 24,500 crore in sales.

The number of buyers this year is 5.5 crore. Electronics and fashion segment saw the highest sales.
