Ankara: In Turkey and Syria, the death toll from the earthquake has exceeded 35 thousand.
In the West Asian countries Turkey and Syria, a powerful earthquake occurred in succession on the 6th. It registered 7.8 on the Richter scale.
Due to the strong earthquake and tremors that followed, more than 12,000 buildings were razed to the ground. The work of rescuing people trapped in the rubble in the affected areas is ongoing.

More bodies are being recovered during today’s rescue operation. Some were rescued alive from the rubble. As of today, the death toll from the earthquake has exceeded 35,224,000. 31,643 people died in Turkey and 3,581 people died in Syria. Rescue work is also going on in the ruins.
