The earth is still shaking in the province of Parma after the seismic swarm of the last few days: a new earthquake was recorded today, Tuesday 20 February, of magnitude 3.8 with its epicenter in Calestano, around 2.46pm, as reported by the INGV. The earthquake was felt in several cities, including Parma, Fidenza and Reggio Emilia.

According to the INGV, the earthquake occurred around 2.46pm to a depth of 21km. It would be the more intense shock in the last 24 hours in the Parma area.

Among the strongest, in addition to that of Calestano, is that of magnitude 2.8 with an epicenter near Walk at 2.39pm and the other 3.2 in the vicinity of Langhirano at 12.03. In recent days an intense event had been recorded in the same area swarm seismic.

This morning a mild tremor was also recorded in the upper Trebbia Valley, in the hinterland of the province of Genoa, on the border between Liguria and Emilia Romagna.
The tremor was recorded in the report of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology and was felt at 9.12 with an epicenter 4 kilometers from Fontanigorda, 9 kilometers deep, with magnitude 2.1. Also in this case no problems or damage were recorded in the area involved.
