Economic center: 70 million people live in 10 Arab cities, with Baghdad ranked second

/ Director of the Iraqi Economic and Political Center, Wissam Hadmal Al-Hilu, said today, Wednesday, that the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, is in second place out of 10 Arab cities in the latest official statistics regarding population density, indicating that about 70 million people live in those cities.

According to Al-Helou in a report published today, Cairo topped the list of Arab cities in which more than a million people live, with a total of 22.62 million people, followed by the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, with a total of 7.92 million people, and the Saudi capital, Riyadh, third, with a total of 7.82 million people.

The Sudanese capital, Khartoum, ranked fourth with a total of 6.54 million people, and the city of Alexandria in Egypt ranked fifth with a total of 5.69 million people.

The city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia ranked sixth with a total of 4.94 million people, followed by the city of Casablanca in Morocco seventh with a total of 3.95 million people. Dubai came in eighth place with 3.65 million people, and the city of Sanaa in Yemen came in ninth place with a total of 3.40 million people, and the Kuwaiti capital with a total of 3.35 million people.
