Karaikal: AIADMK members in Karaikal district have passed the resolution in support of AIADMK co-ordinator Edappadi Palanisamy.
AIADMK executive meeting of Karaikal district of Pondicherry was held last night (June 21) at the party office in Kottucherry. The party was headed by District Secretary, former MLA MV Omalingam.
Many people including 5 constituency secretaries in the district, 5 general body members, 6 district council executives and executives from other sections of the party were present. The meeting passed a resolution in support of AIADMK co-ordinator Edappadi Palanisamy to lead the party.
Commenting on this, MV Omalingam said: “All the executives who participated in the meeting said that the party should have a single leadership and accept the leadership of former Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy.
Following the request of the party executives, the resolution was passed that in the present situation, in the interest of the party, a single leadership was needed and that the party should be led by Edappadi Palanisamy, who led the party for four years after Jayalalithaa and led the party with strength, ”Omalingam said.
