Edappadi Palaniswami Announces Change of AIADMK District Secretaries
In a significant development within the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), party leader Edappadi Palaniswami has decided to reshuffle the district secretaries across various constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
Palaniswami, the AIADMK coordinator, has given directives to appoint a district secretary for each of the two constituencies. As a result, several new district secretaries have been appointed in the districts of Ranipet, Thanjavur, Theni, Thiruvannamalai, and Nellai.
Thalai Sundaram has been appointed as the new District Secretary for Kanyakumari, while Yumbai Tamilchelvan will take over as the District Secretary for Perambalur. These appointments mark a significant shift in the party’s organizational structure, aiming to strengthen its presence in these districts.
In addition to these appointments, Vindhya has been chosen as the AIADMK Policy Propagation Joint Secretary, further bolstering the party’s communication and policy dissemination efforts.
The reshuffling exercise also involved the appointment of former ministers in key organizational roles. Anwar Raja, Bhaskaran, Rayapuram Mano, Trichy Manokaran, and Thanjai Gandhi have been assigned as AIADMK organizational secretaries. This move demonstrates the party’s intent to leverage their experience and expertise to invigorate its cadres.
Furthermore, in a move to enhance the medical wing of the party, Dr. Saravanan has been appointed as the Joint Secretary of the AIADMK Medical Team. This appointment aims to strengthen the party’s healthcare initiatives and ensure the welfare of its members amid the ongoing pandemic.
In another notable development, the regions of Puducherry East and West have been merged to form a unified entity called Puducherry State. Palaniswami has also appointed new administrators to oversee the governance of this freshly amalgamated state.
These significant changes in AIADMK’s district secretaries and other key positions within the party highlight Palaniswami’s commitment to restructuring and reviving the party’s organizational framework.
