Eid prayer; Saudi Arabia issued guidelines

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has issued guidelines for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers. Religious Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdul Latif Alu Sheikh gave instructions regarding the guidelines. The instructions were given to the offices of the Ministry of Islamic Call and Guidance.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs informed that the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer should be performed fifteen minutes after sunrise. The Ministry also directed that Eid Namaz should be held in Eid gahs and mosques. The Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs also said that preparations should be made for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in mosques and open fields. Minister Sheikh Abdul Latif Alu Sheikh directed the concerned departments to carry out cleaning and repair work for this purpose.

The Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs points out in the instructions for the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer that all necessary services should be provided for the believers who come to pray. It has also been suggested that all facilities should be provided for performing religious rituals. The ministry also pointed out that the guidelines are applicable to Eid gahs and mosques in rural and urban areas.
