Five suspects were arrested today (Monday) due to two incidents in which Border Police fighters were attacked. In the first incident, two fighters were attacked after evacuating illegal buildings in the Oz Zion outpost. In another incident, fighters were attacked in the Chumash outpost That is, six of the fighters who were attacked were lightly wounded, received medical treatment on the ground, and did not need to be evacuated to the hospital.
In addition, two settlers fortified themselves in one of the buildings in the outpost, and confined themselves to the building using an iron installation while risking their lives. Border fighters worked together with a special rescue team of the Home Front Command and worked to get the fortifications out unscathed.
Meanwhile, in an incident at the Chumash outpost, a number of settlers blocked the security forces’ vehicle, hitting the vehicle, ripping its handles, getting under the vehicle and grabbing its wheels. Troops evacuated the settlers and as a result of the clashes, six fighters were lightly injured and were treated on the spot.
This incident is another incident in which border fighters were injured after carrying out enforcement activities in which illegal structures were evacuated from outposts, after stones were thrown at two border fighters last October during the evacuation of a tent in Yitzhar.
