The youth has been arrested for hacking the email ID of a female assistant agricultural officer from Pudukkottai.

Manoj Kumar (19) hails from Kottaipattinam area of ​​Pudukkottai district. He is a second year B.Com student at a private college in Chennai. Anukirthana (24) from Kottaipattinam is working as an assistant officer in Manamelkudi. Manoj Kumar, who contacted Anukirthana’s WhatsApp number, said his email ID had been hacked and he had threatened to pay Rs 50,000.

Anukirthana, the assistant agriculture officer, refused to pay. The young man then sent photos of the woman stored in the email to the WhatsApp number of people working in his office. The shocked woman has lodged a complaint with the Pudukottai Cyber ​​Crime Police.

Following the complaint, the cyber crime police registered a case and launched an investigation. The police arrested Manoj Kumar, confiscated two mobile phones belonging to him, produced him in court and remanded him in custody.
