The El Cuckoo bookstore de Torroella de Montgrí celebrated the Literary Brunch on Thursday afternoon, after three years without doing so. At the start of the event, which this year celebrated its 10th edition, M. Teresa Calabus he thanked all those present for their loyalty to what is already considered the “starting shot” of Saint George and wanted to reclaim bookstores as a meeting place.
Also, remembering the missing Vicenç Pagès and Jordàto whom this edition has been dedicated, pledged to keep his legacy and his works alive, to always have all his books: “It will be our small tribute to a great friend, to one of the great writers of our country, and no, we will not whitewash its ashes, we will simply reclaim it” he assured.
Among other authors, they attended the meeting David Balaguer, Jordi Cabré, Oriol Canals, Anna Carreras, Martí Gironell, Espartac Peran, Núria Pradas, Elisenda Roca, Maria Carme Roca, Màrius Serra, Coia Valls, David Vilaseca, Borja de Riquer, Maria Mercè Roca, Gemma Ruiz Pala and Gemma Sardinia.
The Berenar Literari was born in 2010 with the desire to claim bookstores as a natural meeting place between authors and their readers.
