FIH Pro League 2025/26 Kicks Off in Santiago del Estero, Offering Path to 2028 Olympics
The FIH Pro League, one of the world’s premier hockey tournaments, will commence its seventh season December 9-14 in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, with the participation of the nation’s celebrated men’s and women’s teams, known as Los Leones and Las Leonas.
Santiago del Estero is poised to become a global hub for international hockey as it hosts the opening matches of the FIH Pro League 2025/26 season. This competition is not only a battle for the championship title but also a crucial step toward securing direct qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Argentina’s National Teams Prepare for Key Matches
The initial phase of the league will feature significant contests for both Argentine squads. Los Leones will compete against the Netherlands and Pakistan, while Las Leonas will face off against Germany and the Netherlands – both recognized as powerhouses in women’s international hockey.
