To enhance storytelling and deepen immersion into the One Piece world, the production team has announced a significant shift in strategy. Starting in 2026, the anime will adapt approximately one manga chapter per episode, and broadcast will be limited to a maximum of 26 episodes annually. The One Piece universe is expanding beyond the main storyline with several new projects. Character designs have been partially revealed for the upcoming anime,”ONE PIECE HEROINES,” an animated adaptation of the novel series ONE PIECE novel HEROINES. This spin-off will focus on the female characters of One Piece, exploring their individual journeys of self-revelation.

Additionally, the anime “One piece in Love” will be screened at the 12th New Chitose Airport International Animation Film Festival in Hokkaido from November 21-25, 2025. A special event on November 23rd will feature cast members, including Hiroshi Kitada-san, sparking speculation about a live performance.
