KINSHASA – Scheduled for this Wednesday, January 3, 2024, the electoral commission (CENI) announced the postponement of the provisional publication of the results of the national and provincial legislative elections as well as the convocation of the electorate for the election of senators and governors of Provinces.
The CENI justifies this postponement by the ongoing compilation of the provisional results of the national and provincial legislative elections as well as those of municipal councilors on December 20, 2023.
To this end, the CENI invites national, provincial and municipal deputy candidates as well as potential senator, governor and vice-governor candidates to be patient.
Thus, the suspense will continue for a few more days while awaiting the verdict of the polls.
