Ella Langley Cancels BOK Center Concert After Security Threat

Country singer Ella Langley abruptly canceled her sold-out Tulsa, Oklahoma, concert at the BOK Center due to a serious security threat on October 9, 2026. Tulsa police later investigated the venue with bomb-sniffing dogs and bomb teams, concluding there was no credible threat to the public.

The sudden cancellation on Friday evening left thousands of fans outside the arena trying to piece together what happened. Langley, who is currently headlining The Dandelion Tour in support of her second studio album, “Dandelion,” shared the news on Instagram hours before the performance was set to begin, citing the safety of everyone involved.

Security Threat Forces Ella Langley to Cancel Show

Langley posted a statement to social media explaining that the abrupt shutdown followed guidance from venue officials, local authorities, and her own security team. The 27-year-old artist was scheduled to perform at the 19,199-seat venue alongside special guests Kameron Marlowe and Laci Kaye Booth.

Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show.

Langley’s single Choosin’ Texas recently made history by topping the Billboard Hot 100 for over 23 weeks, driving substantial ticket demand for her arena run. The tour initially kicked off on May 7 in Toledo, Ohio, and was later extended with 21 additional dates.

I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else.

Authorities stated that officers, K-9 units, the Bomb Team, patrol officers, and BOK Center security conducted a standard preliminary sweep before the event and found nothing of concern. Following a subsequent phone call warning of potential gunfire and bombs, officers returned to sweep the building and surrounding area a second time.

A call was made threatening the lives of people attending the event. Out of an abundance of caution, we swept the building and surrounding area and again found no credible threat to the event’s safety.

Police officials noted that investigators believe the incident involved a swatting call. Captain Meulenberg emphasized that neither the police department nor the venue canceled the concert, leaving that final choice entirely to the artist’s team.
