Musk has previously polled his followers about reviving vine. Following his Twitter acquisition in 2022, he asked about bringing it back, with many in favor. He posed the same question again in 2024, receiving even stronger support. However, a full relaunch hasn’t materialized. this latest indication suggests a more measured approach: direct access to the original Vine archive on X, allowing users to view and share old videos, though not upload new content.

At its peak,Vine boasted around 200 million users and launched the careers of creators like Jake and Logan Paul. Its demise was reportedly hastened by management issues and the rise of competitors like TikTok, which offered a similar but longer-form video experience. Whether Musk can truly resurrect this digital relic or if it will remain a fond, nostalgic memory is yet to be seen. Anticipation is high among fans, tempered with a healthy dose of skepticism regarding XS ability to pull it off.
