Embryo inside artificial uterus; Will China’s experiment change the world? | China

by time news

Researchers in China have developed an artificial intelligence system that can monitor the growth of the embryo inside the artificial uterus and provide guidance. Chinese scientists from Suzhou in Jiangsu Province have tested their artificial intelligence to look at a baby in an artificial womb. According to the South China Morning Post, artificial intelligence is currently looking at animal embryos growing in artificial conditions.

Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus. Chinese researchers say that with the help of technology, it is possible to have a safe delivery without having to carry a baby for nine months. This artificial uterus is named as Long Term Embryo Culture Device.

It is also noteworthy that these findings come at a time when China is going through the lowest birth rate in decades. China introduced a one – child policy in 1979 to control its population. China has allowed two babies since 2015, recognizing that the population will decline in the future. But China has since abolished the death penalty for having more than three children by 2020, after realizing that the new generation of couples would not welcome more children.
