Accompanied by Dr. Youssef Al Serkal, Director General of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, Dr. Al Olama conducted a comprehensive inspection of the hospital’s facilities. The visit included a tour of the “midway villas,” a notable project of the Emirates Foundation for Transformational Health Services. Dr. Noor Al Muhairi, Director of the Mental Health Department at the Foundation, presented the hospital’s achievements and statistics. Notably, over 11.5 million patients have visited the emergency department, over 65,000 have sought specialized outpatient care, and more than 4,000 patients have been admitted to inpatient departments.

Dr. Youssef Mohamed Al Serkal expressed the Foundation’s dedication to making healthcare services among the best globally. Al-Amal Hospital has received international accreditation as the first specialized mental health hospital in the Middle East and has continued to prioritize preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. Dr. Noor Al Muhairi shared the achievements of the hospital’s community mental health project. The project has facilitated easy access to mental health services for individuals with mental illnesses, increased awareness, reduced stigma, and enhanced recovery and empowerment for psychiatric patients. Notable achievements include the helpline service providing over 10,000 psychological consultations and the Crisis Intervention Team providing support 24/7 during crises.
