The press conference will be broadcast on TF1, France 2 and news channels. “It is part of the meeting with the nation that began with the wishes of December 31 and which continued with the appointment of the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, and his government”specified the Elysée.

During his wishes of December 31, Mr. Macron mentioned future projects on “school, childhood and education (…), [une] Stronger Republic », pour “achieve our ambition of full employment”while giving a political meeting ” in the next weeks “ without further details.

His last major press conference in this format, with a very broad spectrum of questions, dates back to April 25, 2019, after the Yellow Vest crisis.

The most recent ones have been more thematic, such as that on France’s relations with Africa in February 2023. He also gave a very long one in March 2022 – four hours – but he was then a candidate for re-election and presented his program for the presidential election.
