At noon on Tuesday, relatives, friends and colleagues said their last goodbyes to the great theater man Yiannis Fertis, at the First Cemetery of Athens.
Among them, the last wife of Yannis Fertis, Marina Psaltis, who was holding back her tears with difficulty.
His first wife, Xenia Kalogeropoulou, as well as his second wife, Mimi Denisis, were present at the exodus. The actor’s brother, Kostas Fertis, was also devastated at the funeral.
As soon as Marina Psalti saw her arrive at the church, her husband’s ex-wife, Xenia Kalogeropoulou, accompanied by Stamatis Fasoulis rushed to hug her.
The actor’s funeral was attended, among others, by Marinella, George Dalaras with his wife Anna, Grigoris Valtinos, Costas Arzoglou, Yannis Vouros, Olga Damani, Karyofyllia Karabeti, Spyros Bibilas, Hieroklis Michaelidis, Christos Hatzipanagiotis, Vassilis Charalambopoulos, Panagiota Vlantis, Kostas Falelakis, Eugenia Dimitropoulou, Mirka Papakonstantinou and Katerina Lechou.
Instead of money for wreaths, the actor’s family wishes to financially support the work of the mutual aid fund of the Greek actors’ union.
