EmprendeXXI Awards: Legit.Health, the start-up with the greatest potential in Euskadi

The startup Legit.Health has been awarded the EmprendeXXI Award as the most innovative technology-based company in Euskadi, a recognition that in Euskadi has the support of the Basque Government. This company focused on the medical field, automatically diagnoses and measures the severity of more than 300 skin pathologies using images from smartphones thanks to the application of Artificial Intelligence and ‘computer vision’ medically validated. In addition, it is capable of determining the degree of involvement of the pathology and makes it easier for health professionals to choose the best treatment.

This project has been selected from among 63 applications submitted to the Basque call. The EmprendeXXI Awards have established themselves as benchmark awards for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Promotion through specialized training in innovation

With this award, Legit.Health has received 6,000 euros and access to a training program, to be developed in a global reference innovation hub; This is ‘Moonshot Thinking for entrepreneurs’, a support specially designed for start-ups with high growth potential.

In addition, Legit.Health will also have the opportunity to participate in the EmprendeXXI ‘Investors Day’, sessions where they will be able to maintain contact with investors and companies interested in collaborating with the entrepreneurial ecosystem; They will become part of the ‘AlumniXXI’ community, made up of winning projects from previous editions.

The EmprendeXXI Awards ceremony, held within the framework of the ‘DayOne Innovation Summit’ Euskadi, included the participation of professionals from the Territorial Management of CaixaBank, ENISA and the Basque Government. The jury in charge of selecting the winning company was made up of relevant members of the regional entrepreneurship ecosystem, belonging, among others, to SPRI, Mondragon Innovación and the main business organizations.

The most innovative companies with the greatest potential in the Basque Country

Along with Legit.Health, other finalist startups participated in the event and had the opportunity to present their projects:

– CULTZYME: Develops multipurpose smart bioreactors to help biotechnology companies accelerate the development of cellular foods, novel therapies and materials.

– LUP: Develops solutions based on Artificial Intelligence that convert text into speech to break the reading barrier. Its objective is to provide autonomy and independence so that people with reading difficulties can once again perform daily actions such as, for example, reading a newspaper, shopping or ordering in a restaurant.

– Motmo: A platform in which original artists teach how to perform their songs thanks to an interactive player based on Artificial Intelligence that allows the automatic generation of scores.

– Test4Safe: Has designed test strips that detect the application of submissive drugs in drinks. Its objective is to prevent the abuses that take place under the effects of chemical submission.

All of these initiatives can be future references for the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Euskadi. With these awards, CaixaBank and ENISA today recognize solutions for the challenges of tomorrow, those that challenge us to imagine a better, more sustainable and respectful world.
