Mark Wood, England’s best pacer on the tour of India, got a chance in the first and third Tests. He was rested in the second and fourth Tests. However, he has again been kept in the playing XI for the fifth and final Test, which will start from Thursday in Dharamsala.

Wood did not get a wicket even though England won the first test. However, in the third test, he scored 4 wickets with the ball and 37 runs with the bat. However, their team lost.

Ollie Robinson has been rested as he gets a chance in the fifth Test. However, he suffered a back injury in the fourth Test. He could not bowl because of that. And India easily reached the target in the fourth innings. In the first innings, Robinson was wicketless with 54 runs off 13 overs.

After losing the first Test, India won the next three Tests to secure a 3-1 series win. But as this series is part of the ICC World Test Championship, every Test is important. In that case, both teams will want to win this test.

India have already climbed to the top of the Test Championship points table after winning the series against England. On the other hand, England is at the eighth place in the table. Point percentage is only 19.44.

England XI:
Jack Crowley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Ben Stokes (captain), Ben Fox, Tom Hartley, Mark Wood, James Anderson and Shoaib Bashir.
