Minister of Environment, Forests and Climate Change Saber Hossain Chowdhury has ordered to resolve any complaints of people regarding environmental pollution.
This order was given to the officials of the ministry in a special meeting in the meeting room of the ministry in the secretariat on Monday (April 15).
The Environment Minister said that although the level of challenge in environmental pollution control activities is high, people’s expectations must be met. People’s hope cannot be wasted. If people make any complaint, it should be resolved as soon as possible.
He said that it should be ensured that government programs are environmentally friendly. To properly fulfill their responsibilities to ensure the protection of public health.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury said that environment-friendly municipality, zero waste village should be implemented with instructions to prevent the use of single-use plastic and ensure that banner-festoons are made of environmentally friendly materials. Awareness about the environment should be increased through the education system.
He also said that necessary initiatives will be taken to include environment, forest, climate change and biodiversity in the textbook next year.
