Equipment for shooting the first film in space delivered to the ISS

The Progress MS-17 cargo vehicle docked to the International Space Station (ISS), which delivered the equipment for filming the film Challenge. The art picture will be the first shot in space, according to Roskosmos.

Progress MS-17 with a load weighing 13.75 kilograms was launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome by the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle on June 30. The department does not specify what kind of shooting equipment was delivered.

In October, the members of the 66th expedition, actress Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, will go to the ISS aboard the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft to shoot a feature film announced by Roscosmos and Channel One, tentatively titled Challenge.

The film crew will return to Earth on October 17 on the Soyuz MS-18 spacecraft together with cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky.
