Naam Tamilar Party coordinator Seeman is engaged in election campaign in Erode. In this situation, last night in Veerappanchatram and Theppakulam areas, some volunteers of Naam Tamilar Party have come in a vehicle as they were campaigning that way.

It is said that the DMK members who were standing in that area raised slogans against Naam Tamil Party. Due to this, the Naam Tamils ​​party, which was involved in the campaign, has also raised slogans in response. Subsequently, when there was a sudden commotion there, it is said that the DMK members pelted stones. After that, Naam Tamil party also threw stones at DMK. Also, it is said that the DMK members attacked Naam Tamil party members with iron flagpoles. Subsequently, they are said to have attacked the DMK in response.

At that time, the police who were engaged in security work tried to separate the two parties. However, due to the tense situation on both sides, the police and people from both the parties were said to have been attacked. As a result, the police used batons to disperse the crowd. On hearing this information, Seeman, the coordinator of Naam Tamilar Party, rushed to the spot. Then Seeman said, “This is Dravidian politics. They should be defeated in this election,” he said on the mic. It is said that the vehicle in which he came was also pelted with stones. At one point Seeman came near the venue of the public meeting and tried to block the road. On getting the information, district SP Sasimohan, DSP Ananda Krishnan and other policemen negotiated with Seeman and pacified him.

Meanwhile, the windows of the two-wheelers and cars parked in the area were also broken. The DMK members alleged that the Tamil Nadu party was involved in such activities to stop the elections.

Nam Tamilar Party said, “We were campaigning in a peaceful manner, but they attacked us first. Police are working in favor of DMK as it is the ruling party. It was the DMK who tried to incite riots,” they alleged.

In this attack, six people including Mettupalayam DMK city secretary Muhammad Yunus (56) were killed in this attack, and five people including Ravikumar from Chennai, Madan (22) from Pudukottai, Muthukumaran from Vilupuram district and Rangapat from Naam Tamil Party. On the part of the police, special constables from Thiruvannamalai district, Prabudeva from Bollur, Anbumani and Nishant Kumar from Vellore district were also injured. The police today arrested two members of Naam Tamilar Party, Ganesh Babu from Coimbatore and Vijay from Erode Tindal, who were involved in the riots that took place last night. This incident created a lot of excitement there.
