Today 21st February is our Great Martyr’s Day and International Mother Language Day written in mourning, respect and love. Jatiya Party Chairman Ghulam Mohammad Quader MP has paid deep respect to the memory of the brave martyrs of the national language movement on this significant day.

Seeking forgiveness for the departed souls of the brave martyrs of the national language movement, he said in a message on Wednesday that although Bengali was recognized as one of the national languages in the 250 national language movement, it took a long time to promote Bengali language at all levels. After 35 years of the national language movement, our beloved leader, the late president and founding chairman of Jatiya Party, Pallibandhu Hussain Muhammad Ershad, took the initiative to promote Bengali language at all levels by passing a law on March 8, 1987. Today all the activities are going on in Bengali language everywhere in Bangladesh.

Leader of the opposition Kader Mahan has congratulated every citizen of the country and Bengali speakers in different parts of the world on this day. At the same time, he expressed respect and love to all language-speaking ethnic groups of the world on the International Mother Language Day.

GM Kader said, Ekush’s indestructible spirit has given us infinite inspiration to establish our independence and independent sovereign state. Our glorious national language movement was a unique source of courage and strength in the great freedom struggle. Fifty-two national language movement will be a symbol of victory for the preservation of language and culture all over the world.

He said, pride means not bowing down. The great national language movement inspires us to hold our heads high and fight for our rights. Ekush’s spirit inspires the struggle with infinite courage. Our great national language movement will forever give encouragement to the struggle to uphold the rights of every human being in the world.

“The proud history of giving life for the mother tongue is ours alone. Therefore, Amar Ekushe, who is enmeshed in the memory of self-sacrifice in the fifty-two language movement, also mentioned that today is International Mother Language Day.
