Aid transports from Essen to Ukraine continue

On the day of action for the Ukraine, the University Medicine Foundation in Essen draws attention to the situation in the hospitals there with a balloon campaign and together with the Ukrainian Consul General. Photos, information and maps show where help is needed and what is being sent. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 26 transports of medical supplies have already been dispatched. The doctors at the university clinic and those responsible at the University Medicine Foundation are in close contact with the doctors in the Ukrainian hospitals. In this way, they can transport exactly what is actually needed in terms of material. The University Medicine Foundation still needs donations for this. On the day of the action (08/23/22) Ukrainian parents, whose children are being treated at the university hospital, also report on their fate because this is no longer possible in the Ukraine.

At 10:00 a.m., the Ukraine Aid from the University Hospital in Holsterhausen released yellow and blue balloons. Anyone who wants to be there can come to the back of the administration building of the university hospital and take part.
