Quina de São João 2023 promises to distribute a prize estimated at BRL 210 million, the highest amount ever drawn in the history of this lottery modality. Like the Mega da Virada, this Saturday’s draw (24) does not accumulate, that is, if no one matches the 5 numbers, the prize is divided for the bets that match four dozens and so on.

Caixa Econômica Federal, responsible for carrying out Quina de São João, announced on Friday (23) that the prize initially estimated at R$ 180 million was increased to an impressive R$ 210 million. This amount surpasses the previous record of BRL 204.8 million, divided among eight lucky winners in 2021. Last year, 11 bets were lucky enough to share the prize of BRL 195.9 million.

Since its creation in 2011, Quina de São João has presented a minimum number of five winning bets in the five tens in all contests, except in 2019, when nobody got the quina.

The record for the highest number of winners of the five tens occurred in 2013, when 15 bets took home BRL 6.5 million each.

Players from all over the country have until 17h (from MS) to place their bets on the Quina 6.172 contest through lottery houses, application and Caixa’s official website. The price of a bet with five numbers is BRL 2.50. The more numbers you mark, the higher the bet price and the greater the chances of winning.
