Irish edition EU Reporter, which covers events in the telecommunications market, citing its own sources, reported the possible participation of the founder of SpaceX and Tesla, owner of the social network X (ex-Twitter) Elon Musk in the Moscow conference on artificial intelligence and machine learning AI Journey, organized by Sberbank, which is under US sanctions . On the organizing committee of the event TASS reported that Mr. Musk’s participation in the conference is not planned.
The publication notes that Mr. Musk will be one of the speakers at the event; the format of his participation – face-to-face or via video conference – is not disclosed. Elon Musk’s participation, according to EU Reporter, in the Russian AI conference may be connected with the recent announcement of his Grok neural network from xAI, which may become a competitor to ChatGPT. The developers clarify that the main advantage of Grok is the ability to answer almost any question thanks to online access to big data from social networks X. The neural network is planned to be integrated into the social network X in the near future.
The organizing committee of AI Journey clarified that if Elon Musk wants to come to the conference, “then, of course, he will be happy to see him among the speakers,” but he is not on the current list of participants. Elon Musk himself has not yet commented on his possible participation in the conference organized by Sberbank.
The AI Journey conference will take place in Moscow from November 22 to 24. The event is billed as “the key online conference in the field of artificial intelligence technologies.” The speakers of the event on the conference website are: Russian Presidential Aide Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, representatives of Skoltech, MIPT, Yandex, as well as developers from India and China.
