BOLZANO. The Trentino deputy Alessia Ambrosi she is the regional candidate of Fratelli d’Italia in the European elections. In the end the party chose her in the “ballot” with Francesca Gerosa, vice president of the Province of Trento. “For me, politics is heart and honour. Faced with such an exciting challenge – being able to be elected in Europe as a thirty-year-old after so many years that our province couldn’t do it – running away is not for me. And here I am, look at me: I have I accepted, I just signed, I got involved”, writes Ambrosi on Facebook, also thanking Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
The regional coordinator of Fdi Alessandro Urzì reiterates in one that “the decision was taken by mutual agreement between the territorial level and the national leadership of the party and aims to guarantee an authoritative voice of the Brothers of Italy in this decisive competition for the representation of Italian interests in the future European parliament” . “The Honorable Ambrosi is a member of the European Union policies commission in the Chamber of Deputies and vice-president of the Italian Interparliamentary Union which is an international organization that brings together representatives of democratically elected parliaments in countries around the world”, he continues. “Trentino Alto Adige with the Honorable Alessia Ambrosi guarantees a profile of competence and responsibility on which the party unitedly, in Trento as in Bolzanowill be enthusiastically on the field”, he concludes.
In case Ambrosi was elected in Brussels, the vice president of the Province of Bolzano Marco Galateo he would be the first of those not elected in the multi-member constituency “Trentino-Alto Adige 01” and would have to choose between Bolzano and Rome. When asked about this eventuality, Galateo replied to Ansa: “I would do what Giorgia tells me, as always”.
