Europeans will vote on June 6 and 9, 2024 to appoint their parliamentarians following a campaign with multiple themes: war in Ukraine, inflation, energy crisis, agriculture and environment, immigration, etc. The economy is at the heart of the debates after several years of shocks suffered by the continent: Brexit, Covid pandemic, trade conflicts, sharp drop in activity which led in many countries to a recession in 2023.

Éco d’ici Éco d’ailleurs deciphers the issues in terms of growth, investments, budget, energy policy, migration policy, international cooperation. What conclusions can be drawn from the major investment plans launched in recent years: NextGenerationEU, RePowerEu, Green Deal, Global Gateway? What migration policies to deal with labor shortages and the aging of the European population? How can we ultimately avoid economic disengagement from other great powers?

All these subjects are at the heart of the 12th Spring of the economy organized from April 2 to 4, 2024 at Economic, Social and Environmental Council in Paris. Numerous high-level debates under a general theme: “What Europe in a fragmented world?” “.
