Former Finnish Eurovision participant Käärijä made a video yesterday with Israeli contestant Eden Golan and is now abandoning the video.
Käärijä, who finished second in last year’s competition with “Cha Cha Cha” and who returned to Eurovision this year with an interval act, danced with Golan backstage and the moment was captured on video. The Israeli singer posted the video on her own social networks, and it was also published by the Kan television network.
Shortly after pro-Palestinian users expressed dissatisfaction with the video and criticized the Finnish artist on social media, Käärijä wrote on Instagram that he “accidentally met Israel’s Eurovision representative today and we were filmed.”
He added that the video was posted online “without his permission” and that he was asking for it to be removed. “I would like to clarify and emphasize that this video is not a political statement or endorsement of any kind,” he wrote.
A Kana spokesman said the video has been removed from Eden Golan’s social media and will also be removed from Kana’s page following a request.

Previously, Cursor wrote that an incident with a Palestinian protester occurred during Eden Golan’s performance at Eurovision, the moment was caught on video.
Let us also recall that there was a conflict with the participation of Eden Golan at a press conference after the first Eurovision semi-final. Watch the video.
The cursor also reported that Greta Thunberg came out to protest against Israel at Eurovision.
