„Krone“: Dave, you will soon be coming to the Vienna Konzerthaus with the “Eurythmics Songbook”. What can we look forward to?
Dave Stewart: It’s going to be a big show. It’s not just people on stage playing their instruments. We put together a huge LED screen and our own films for the tour. I share the stage with eight different women. They are all incredibly talented and proficient with their instruments. There are three fantastic singers among them. Vanessa Amorosi is pure dynamite, RAHH is brilliant in her own way and my daughter Kaya provides the emotional moments with a lot of soul. With the Eurythmics we changed the style several times, but the audience always remained loyal to us. “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)” was a driving synth number, “Here Comes The Rain Again” was again very orchestral with a weird guitar. We have pop, disco, Stax sounds, R&B, soul, rock. Everything was allowed and desired.
