“After winning the first license, the morale in the team increased even more.”

İdman.biz reports that this was stated by Aliabbas Rzazade (57 kg), a freestyle wrestler of the Azerbaijani national team, who was a guest of the “İdman Bizdə” program.

The 25-year-old athlete commented on the license received at the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Baku. He said that he had once again proved to everyone that he was strong:

“Wrestling in our own walls is a wonderful feeling. This gives a person a different motivation. It’s calmer in your own country. These feelings cannot be expressed in words. Gadzhi Aliyev fought after me. I watched his fight among the fans in the stands and saw how they felt.”

According to Rzazadeh, despite the fact that before the competition he felt that his group would be difficult, he achieved what he wanted:

“Everyone thought Suleiman Atly from Turkey was stronger than me. When I reached the final of the European Championship, they wrote that reaching this stage was a great success. And that I would probably lose to Atly. Even after I defeated him, they said , that Aliabbas was lucky. But by defeating Suleiman for the second time in Baku, I proved that there is no factor of luck, I am stronger than him. As for Vladimir Egorov, earlier in the fight with him, these judges dismissed me from the fight. fulfilled my dream and defeated him in Baku.”

Rzazadeh also emphasized that he wants to see his strong rivals in Paris 2024:

“I would like the license to win the World Classification Tournament for those who worked hard for this. I highly value each of my competitors. If they reached these places, they are not weak. Egorov is also a European champion, and he has a better chance of getting a license than others.”

It should be noted that Rzazade won the right to participate in the Olympic Games by defeating Vladimir Egorov (North Macedonia) in the semi-finals with a score of 4:3.
