Juan Ayuso (UAE) won stage 3 of the Tour de Romandie, an individual time trial of 18.75 kilometers in Châtel-Saint-Denis. The Spaniard is also the new leader of the general classification.

Brenner set the first enduring record, with a 25.49 that left him in the hot seat for a long time. Recently Mikkel Bjerg, with 25.39, managed to lower the mark of the German from DSM, replacing him in the hot seat.

Will Barta, who had been flying in the intermissions, confirmed the trend and displaced the UAE rider thanks to his 25.34. But the last to leave began to lower the intermediate times and Matteo Jorgenson took the place of his teammate with 25.20.

When it seemed that victory would remain for Movistar, Juan Ayuso appeared with a great time of 25.15 that earned him the day and the overall lead.

To highlight Harold Tejada (14th to 33s) and Egan Bernal (36th to 59s).
