We only got three games tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) in the NBA, but they certainly delivered the goods when Joel Embiid’s Philidelphia won 121:126 at home over Nikola Jokic’s Denver. Later, Phoenix recorded a huge comeback and beat Sacramento 117:119 and the Los Angeles Clippers beat Oklahoma City 117:128.

Philadelphia (13:26) – Denver (14:28) 121:126
The battle of the giants of the league between Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic ended with the victory of the Cameroonian, who finished the game with 41 points, 10 assists and 7 rebounds (and the streak of games in which he finished with 30 and 10 rebounds stopped at 16). On the other hand, the Joker finished with 25 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists.

The game itself was tight until the last quarter, but a run of 0:12 by the Sixers put them ahead 113:123, from which the Nuggets were no longer able to come back. Alongside Embiid, Tyrese Maxey scored 25 points and distributed 9 assists for the winner and Tobias Harris added 24 of his own. Michael Porter Jr. helped Jokic on the other side with 20 points and Jamal Murray added a double-double of 17 and 10 assists.

Phoenix (18:22) – Sacramento (17:23) 117:119
The Kings already led by 22 points at the beginning of the fourth quarter, but the Suns and Kevin Durant woke up with an 8:30 run that led to the victory. Grayson Allen hit 3-pointers en route to 29 points, Durant scored 15 of his 27 points in the final quarter and Devin Booker finished with 16 and 11 assists. On the other side, Domantes Sabonis finished with a triple double of 21, 12 rebounds and 11 assists and Diaron Fox scored 33 for the loss.

Los Angeles Clippers (14:26) – Oklahoma City (13:27) 117:128
The West is heating up with the victory of the Clippers, who are approaching one game away from Denver and the Thunder themselves, in places 2-3. Paul George provided a show against the former with a season high 38 points, 18 of them in the last quarter where he led the escape in the last minutes with great moves on both sides of the court, to which he also added 7 rebounds. Shea Gilges Alexander, traded for him in the summer of 2019, was limited to just 19 points on 6/16 from the field. Jaylen Williams scored 25 and handed out 7 assists to the Thunder, who return from LA with two losses in 24 hours.
